Now My Personal Review
Once upon a time, around Xmas time just a few months ago, my hubs wanted a SodaStream. I said why, it’s too expensive and I can get 2 Liters for $.50 quite often with my awesome couponing skills. In my head I’m thinking a soda refill is $4.99 and it makes an equivalent of 6 – 2 Liter Bottles ($4.99/6 = $.83 per 2 Liter), while this is not bad, you also have to buy the machine and every once in a while get the cartridge refilled.
So then hubs started to read this blog about the SodaStream. I was impressed! Not only does some guy blog about nothing other than the SodaStream, but there were some awesome points in there. Did you know that the SodaStream Soda Mixes contain a whole bunch less calories and sodium than their 2 liter counterparts? I didn’t either! Example: Regular Coca-Cola has 100 cal, 27g carb, 30mg sodium per 8 oz, Soda Stream Cola has 34 cal, 9g carb, 2mg sodium! AMAZING! and so, with this info alone I was sold! Plus there are a lot of tree hugging type facts, that really are appealing also.
I bought the SodaStream at Meijer with a Santa Buck deal. I have also discovered that the SodaStream makes some awesome flavored fizzy water using Mio! I use this as my soda substitute and Mio often has coupons and is already cheaper than the SodaStream Mixes without coupons.
